A Plan for the Rest of the Year
While rethinking why I stopped keeping up with my blog last year, I realized one bug reason was a lack of a plan. I had a few ideas for my first couple of projects, but after that I chose randomly, and I chose things that didn’t have a large impact on me. Like skateboarding or piano for example.
And while these projects were fun, when larger roadblocks were put in my way like finishing school assignments and making sure to put in hours for my part-time job, I had to put them off.
So now I’m pivoting my focus to long-term lifestyle habits, so I have a stronger motivation to continue when life gets busy. And I’ve planned out 12 habits that I think will carry me through a year of new goals.
Here’s the plan:
- May: Making my bed
- June: Tracking what I eat
- July: Sleep hygiene
- August: Morning exercise routine
- September: Planning
- October: Daily routine
- November: Journaling
- December: Meditation
- January: Cooking
- February: Gratitude
- March: Wardrobe
- April: Learn a new skill
While I may shift the order or swap out a habit or two depending on how I’m feeling in the future at least now I have a roadmap for where I’m heading.
If you have any ideas on other foundational habits that would be beneficial I’d love to hear your thoughts. Just leave a comment below!
Good for you!! I’m excited for you. You’ve charted a course and a plan of action. If I may suggest some things I’ve personally used to find similar success: The 4-Minute Morning by Ken Fite is a good book. I also use the Google Play apps Level Up Life, Habits, and Habinator. There’s other resources I’ve used too, but those are some of my favorites. 🙂
Thanks Rachael! I’ll definitely check out those resources 🙂
I also use Habinator app. Highly recommended!
